Research content

Catalysis have been fundamental technology in the modern society. We have focused on the creation of highly active, selective and durable heterogeneous catalysts. The task of our research groups are developing of the highly dispersed noble metals for effective production of valuable chemicals, purification of harmful gas such as toluene and NOx using catalysts, production of energy source. The main topics in our research groups are palladium-supported zeolites for Suzuki-Miyaura coupling, partial oxidation of alcohols over gold-supported Na-Y zeolites, hydrogen production through reforming and shift reaction. We have various techniques for characterization of heterogeneous catalysts, including temperature programmed desorption (TPD) of ammonia for analysis of acid properties, x-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) for structural analysis of supported metals.
