Multimedia Data Analysis Laboratory

Extracting valuable information from low-quality data to enrich our lives

Supervisor
Seisuke KYOCHI: Associate Professor

With the advancement of measurement devices for multimedia data(speech, images, etc.) and data analysis technologies, high-quality data acquition and information extraction have become easier. However, for some types of images and signals, which are essential to realize future advanced medical and social systems, the quality of the measured data is low (low resolution and high-level of noise), and accurate Information analysis is not possible using conventional techniques. In our laboratory, we establish a technology to extract accurate information from low-quality data to realize further enriched society.
