Advanced Functional Device Lab.

Supervisor
Shinya AIKAWA: Professor

Our research is centered on development of functional electronic devices using artificial 2D thin films and novel semiconductor materials. Such devices are useful for functional building blocks of future innovative electronics with flexibility, light weight, thin body and transparency. Those functionalities are effective for enhancing values of conventional devices. Our recent interests are of oxide thin-film transistors, hybrid Schottky junction solar cells and resistive switching memory devices.

Topics of research
  • Semiconductor device applications of functional thin-films
  • Improvement of device performances by modifying surface/interfaces
  • Analysis and control of carrier transport in semiconductors
