Research for architectural practice in a complex modern society

Supervisor
Kentaro Yamazaki: Professor

We engage in research activities for architectural practice in the complex modern society. By using various methods such as analyzing the architectural works of great architects, actually visiting and taking measurements, and surveying and observing cities, villages, and public spaces, we are able to understand the essence of architecture and cities. I'll look into it. From what we have learned, we will think about what kind of society we would like to aspire to, what kind of lifestyle and relationships we would like to have with people, and what a harmonious global environment would look like.

Topics of research
  • Work analysis and design method
  • Research on the relationship between spatial measurement and architectural design
